How To Apply

The Application Process
The CARESTAR Foundation has a 2-step application process.

Step 1: Letter of Interest (LOI)
All grants begin with an LOI. Your LOI allows us to learn a bit more about your plans and ideas in order to consider whether a full application is warranted. LOIs are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.

  • All LOIs must be submitted online through the CARESTAR portal.
  • We will review and respond to your LOI within a few weeks of submission.
  • We will either invite your organization to move onto Step 2 and submit a full application, or let you know that it is not a good fit at this time.

Step 2: Full Application
If you are invited to complete a full application, you will receive an email with the application link and the corresponding due date for submission.

  • All applications must be submitted online through the CARESTAR portal.
  • Someone from the CARESTAR Foundation team will reach out to you personally to discuss your application and provide you with any necessary next steps and key dates.
  • Once reviewed by staff, complete applications are considered by our Board of Directors on a quarterly basis.
